ZACH ROBERSON

Kansan Zach Roberson finished his career at Iowa State University by winning an NCAA Divison I national title at 133 pounds. He tallied a 31-3 record in his senior campaign, winning 106 total matches in his collegiate career, which tied him for 23rd on Iowa State’s all-time career win list.

Roberson was a runner-up at the Big 12 championships, a Midlands Champion, and also champion at the Kaufman-Brand Open. At the Midlands, he was named the “Art Kraft Champion of Champions” as best exemplifying the qualities of a champion.

At Blue Valley Northwest High School, Roberson was a four-time Kansas state champion, winning titles at 103 pounds, 112 pounds, 119 pounds, and 125 pounds. He has the state record with his 153-0 career record, and had an impressive 109 pins. He was a first team Asics All-American and earned the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award, honoring academic and wrestling excellence as well as community service. He won several All-American honors in freestyle as well in Fargo, North Dakota, including two national titles and an Outstanding Wrestler Award. He also was a folkstyle nationals runner-up at 125 pounds.
