Baldwin City Signal

Jimmy Gillispie of the Baldwin City Signal has provided tremendous coverage of high school wrestling for his local community newspaper. Gillispie is a graduate of Baldwin High School and Baker University, majoring in Mass Communications and finishing in 2004. He was a sports writer for the Baker Orange from 2001-04. The Baker Orange has been named a top small college newspaper annually.

“I enjoy covering wrestling because of coach Kit Harris. He always provides me info and keeps me updated. I would like to thank him for this award,” Gillispie said.

Gillispie was a student and editor in Kit Harris’ journalism class at Baldwin High School in 1999-2000.
