4A Senior Wrestler of the Year - 2006

Holton High School’s Jesse Strawn capped off a tremendous career with an undefeated state title his senior year. Strawn won two undefeated titles at 189 pounds as a junior and a senior.

Strawn made his way into the state finals all four years, placing second twice and first twice. His career record was an impressive 157-4. He also set a state record with 38 pins as a senior. His records were 35-2, 38-2, 40-0, and 44-0.

After winning a state title, Strawn then went on to earn All-American status, finishing seventh at Senior Nationals.

Strawn, who was an honor student at Holton High School, has continued his wrestling talents at NCAA Division I Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
