Tate Omli, he has more hardware from the state tourny then everyone else in that bracket put together...

GOOD LUCK Tate!

As far as sleepers keep a close eye on Hunter Weddington from Andover and also Tyler long from Rose Hill both are pretty salty.

Re: State 14U 165 - 03/26/08 12:16 AM

Tate Omli looks like he will win it all...he was very dominant in his matches at districts and will probly have no trouble in state untill the finals which might b good if he and keith can wrestle again

what about othere kids in the bracket though? your set on Tate winning state but how do you know there wont be an upset?

Re: State 14U 165 - 03/26/08 02:18 PM

There will be "upsets". Previous state hardware does not matter at this age/weight. Tate might be in the finals, if he can make it past the difficult 1st round, 2nd round, and 3rd round. Dominance at district does not mean much either -- there is another 3/4ths of the state yet to be seen.

I am Camron Leupold. I fractured a vertibre in the last football game of the season. I have not wrestled a match all season. And dont count on tate getting "upset"..he will dominate this weight class.

i hope you get to feeling better Camron.... but id have to say that tate will have to fight for his championship. ya he has won the past few years but other kids have gotten better to coming out of high school

Devon, Jess and Coach Craig,
I want to take the time to congratulate all three of you on your teams success at state as well as Devons State Championship!

Devon did a great job of setting a goal, working hard to achieve it and finally becoming a State Champion!

I have had to pleasure to watch the three of you map out a plan to get Devon to this point and you were patient and executed it very well.

Sometimes we only focus on what happens on the mat and we forget what happens to put you in the proper situations. I know that all three of you worked very hard and all three of you should be congratulated for a job well done.

I can not think of any single wrestler that worked harder to get where he is than Devon and I am extremely proud of you and I know your parents and coach's are as well!

See you next year...

Steven

New to this site. registered to put up a post about losing a camera at Lindsborg, but then saw this thread.

Anyone know, who were freshman and who are 8th graders that will be back in the 14under next year? There were some super wrestlers in this age/weight.
