"let him roll" - 12/12/14 04:38 PM
Had a ref tell me that if you have a kid on his back and let him roll off of his back to his stomach (on purpose), that it's unsportsmanlike conduct.
I can't find one single person that can back that up. Does anybody know what this guy is talking about?

I was told that by a red and a coach two years ago.

I have always been told that it was unsportsmanlike conduct if they went from back to no control....
Wrestler A has Wrestler B on his back for a count. Wrestler A lets B escape from his back to his feet.
Am i wrong????
I am calling time and walking to the table to talk to Keith Ashpole about this one.

You are absolutely right! If you have somebody on his back and you get up, THEN, its unsportsman.

Letting them roll from their back to their stomach is NOT unsportsmanlike.

From his back to his feet is unsportsmanlike, but not to his stomach.
At least that is what I have always thought the rule was.

Take down and cut, you can get an unsportman.

I would argue that. My kid is so terrible you would hit him with stalling, so to avoid the stall call, we will take them down and let them up.

My kid is also horrible that's all he does too ... Takedown cut, takedown cut. Guess not everyone is born to be a rider
