New Purler Wrestling Academy Location Emporia KS - 05/12/15 07:40 PM

When: Starting next Tues. All sessions will run every Tuesday, 6:45-9pm, year round.
Where: Emporia HS wrestling room. 3302 W. 18th. Emporia, KS. 66801
All wrestlers are encouraged to try out the sessions on the 19th and 26th to see how the sessions are ran.
Technique training and fundamentals are the sole focus of Pwa. No nifty match ending moves, no trying to cut corners by learning feet to back scrambling 5 pointers or spladles to attain some quick fix. As I tell my kids, how you wrestle matters. In the long run, the wrestler that can move his hands and feet, get his opponent off balance, build position from defense, top, and bottom, will start to separate from the others. We will go live for approximately 40-45 min of each session, but the remainder of the session will be learning how to wrestle and win key positions in the sport.

All wrestlers are welcome to show up, fill out a quick waiver, and try out the program to get a feel how the room is managed and the sessions are ran. Pwa was est. in 2003, and has been a staple in the area for 13 years. Call or email with any questions, and PLEASE call or email me if you plan on attending the next couple of weeks. In time this will be a very good program for serious wrestlers in the region.

If you've never attended a Tony Purler session it is the best opportunity your wrestler will have in this part of the nation. No ego, no junk moves, all just good core moves on building bad positions into good/scoring opportunities. Worth every penny and then some.
