Wrestling NE Kansas for Novice - 10/05/21 11:34 PM
There is an aggressive and agile athlete on my baseball team that wants to try wrestling. Also plays tackle football and basketball. 9 years old with June 2012 bday and in 4th grade. He lives in Independence, MO. What clubs do you recommend for a novice? He is willing to commute; dad drives to Overland Park, KS etc. to practice baseball with me. My son stopped wrestling this season and I am unfamiliar with the coaching scene within 20-30 miles of Independence.

Did some research on state results. Mill Valley seems like a reasonable program.

Independence MO? Jackson County wrestling, can go to as many as 3-4 practices/ between Fort Osage and Grain Valley HS.
If close to 291 hwy Victory @ Liberty HS isn’t very far

Greater Heights has a great level 1 program for beginners. Sounds like this kiddo is the same age as my youngest son.
