(WICHITA, KS) – Chris Presson, General Manager of the INTRUST Bank Arena, proudly announced the grand opening activities scheduled for January as the community celebrates the long-awaited opening of Wichita’s premier entertainment venue.

Chris is at lunch right now and does not have a vm. But his assistant says he will return his calls as soon as he gets back. we'll see.

Have called both numbers and e-mailed

i also got "out to lunch" from Chris, I sent an email to the other contact and got an out of office reply, what a joke.
I also sent email to info@intrustbankarena, no reply

The more of us that call or emails, they will know that we are not happy with this

Here is what I have done I contacted the County Manager, local news and media and expressed my thoughts. I sugest that everyone do the same in their home town. Copy the info that was originally posted, explain how we as a wrestling community will put pressure on the KSSHAA on a furure venue change, explain how the city and county will lose money because of the change. An example is hotels, restraunts, local shops all will lose money in the future, because the Intrust arena will not stamp you and let you reenter without having to pay the full amount again. This is Crap and we need to stand to the occassion and fight for whats right.

Welcome to Wichita and our new arena. You are welcome also on my following comments. What is this no re-entry policy? I would suggest you change your policy if you ever want to get another high school or kids event at your facility. This is not a 2 hour game and then you leave for the day. This is an all day - 2 day event. People will purchase some of your goods if you greet them properly. But if you use strong arm tactics - I will bet people will be sure to eat a BIG breakfast prior to coming and hold out for a NICE dinner elsewhere. I understand the no coolers deal - I do not understand someone walking outside for a little fresh air, smoke, a favorite snack or product that you do not serve or even some healthy snack. Bad way to start you public relations mission. Unhappy fan who has not stepped foot in the arena yet. Currently - I am working out a meal plan for all the other wrestling parents and fans so they do not purchase anything at your facility - besides tickets.
We are buying gas, hotel stays, etc. dropping plenty of money in Wichita. I am sure another city/arena would gladly open up their arms for this event.

No re-entry policy in effect. If you leave the arena you will need to purchase another ticket to get back into the event.
(They are not wavering on this. This their policy and they are sticking to it.)

I just got off the phone with Scott. He said that they will allow re-entry for this event only.

Thats funny, I have been in contact with their office and the County Managers office. The Intrust Arena was very firm that they will not change this at all. You say you got off the phone with scott from where?

I e-mailed him as well. I have a handicapped grandmother that was wanting me to come get her and bring her over to the stadium so that she could watch at least one match. I would have to buy a ticket when I returned with her and another after I took her back. This is not right and I hope the people who are complaining to INTRUST are also forwarding these complaints to KSHSAA so that realize what is being done. The Better Business Bureau would be another nice forward so that they can see that the arena is wanting to reap all the benefits and share with none.
He has not replied as of yet.

I called Scott at 1:45 and he returned my call at 2:30 and said that they would allow re-entry for the State Tournament.

Funny how policies are meant to be tweaked every now and then.

This was the wrestling equivalent of the Cuban Missle Crisis!

Hmm, maybe the County managers office rang someones neck

Hopefully, Intrust Arena staff will have a damage control hospitality meeting tonight or in the morning on how to greet customers.

I have just been contacted by the Intrust Arena Manager: They have all of a sudden lifted the no-reentry policy for our tournament. They said it has also been updated on their web site. Now lets Wrestle Have an Awsome weekend to all!

I have just recieved the call myself. Way too go wrestling community. Now about that little health care issue.

I have been folloeing this post and the other post today at work. I was very upset with what I was reading and could not wait to get off work so I could get home and join in on the effort. I am so glad to hear that Intrust has change their minds. This effort show what the Kansas Wrestling Community can get done when they join togeather. HOW LETS SHOW INTRUST HOW GREAT THE KANSAS WRESTLING COMMUNITY IS AND SUPPORT THEM. I DON'T THINK I NEED TO GO INTO DETAILS ON HOW TO SUPPORT THEM. WE ALL KNOW HOW!!!!! NOW LETS GETTER DONE !!!!!!!!!

Just talked to Scott at Intrust and they just changed their re-entry policy for this tournament. YOU CAN RE_ENTER WITHOUT re-paying. Thanks, Matt

Entry Policy - If you purchase a ticket and would like to leave the arena you will be given a stamp on your hand. Hand stamp is required for re-entry. Bags will be checked upon entry and re-entry into the arena.

No outside food or beverages can be brought into the arena.

No reserving of seats.

Banners may not be taped to the facility. If banners need to be hung please contact arena staff and they will be glad to help.

Scott just called me back from a conversation we had earlier and told me the re-entry would be lifted for this event! He must have had a bunch of people to call! Nice job "Wrestling Community"! Good luck Kansas State Wrestlers!

Maybe we should all email them demanding free hot dogs.
