Colorado Regional Combine - 05/24/18 05:19 AM
High School Wrestling Coaches, Wrestlers, and Fans:
Do you have any wrestlers that are interested in competing in college? Or maybe a hardworking student-athlete who is being overlooked by college coaches? Ferrum Prospects has a unique opportunity for high school wrestlers this June, and we need your help spreading the word with your teams about the 2018 Colorado Regional Combine!
There are some talented wrestlers west of the Mississippi, and speaking regionally we are talking about states like Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, Nebraska, Kansas, so on and so forth. Quite frankly though, not enough of these willing and able high school wrestlers have the chance to compete at the next level. At Ferrum Prospects, we want to help provide a unique opportunity for wrestlers to showcase their skills in front of college coaches. By pulling together the elements of a technique camp, a high intensity practice session, and embracing the battle in a mini-tournament, we are providing this combine opportunity for a fun-filled weekend of tough, competitive wrestling to highlight the abilities of our combine participants!
Colorado Combine
This event is open to all wrestlers from around the country, and specifically to wrestlers within the Rocky Mountain region. Our combine features several different clinicians, who help run athletes through an intensive set of practices, along with a little technique, some evening wrestle-offs, and we will work until we have a top matchup. Then on the final evening, we host an All-Star Dual to cap our event.
*Any wrestler that earns a starting spot for the All-Star Dual will receive a singlet to keep!*
This event has several aspects of wrestling that make it useful. It’s a combination of technique, live, wrestle-off’s, skill challenges, and competition. Our clinicians Cody Yohn, Sonny Yohn, Evan Copeland, and Dalton Kelley will push wrestlers through each session. Registration is open to incoming 8th graders through recent graduates from the Class of 2018 (it’s never too early or late for a college to recognize a wrestler’s ability) and is open on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Location/Date: Aurora, CO at Cherokee Trail HS held June 29th-30th
For more details please view the attached flyer or view the website page.

Registration is $100 through June 15th; Teams of 6 or more please contact us for a reduced rate!
College Programs
We've had a number of colleges attend this combine format in the past and as they sign-up again this year, we will share what programs are planning to attend. The number of college programs that we've invited to attend is well over 65, it's up to them if they decide to send a representative. We are trying to bring in coaches from all levels of college wrestling so that there is a good mix of DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO schools. The more kids that participate, the more colleges that will come, so sign-up!
If you have time, all we ask is that you share this information with your team and help us grow this event into a meaningful occasion for both prospective student-athletes and college coaches - at the end of the day, it’s all about providing opportunities for wrestlers! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your time.
Kind Regards,
Kolbe J. Fraley
