Here's what I've got for possible state qualifiers based on the results I've seen this season. They're listed by team, and by weight. Let me know if I've overlooked anyone, especially in the weights where I don't have four kids listed. Thanks.

By the way, I've included their current rank and if they were a state placer or qualifier LAST year. (Thank Coach Lamar for those stats.)

Probably one of the toughest weights here is #103 believe it or not. Heads up on #140 and #152... FREE-FOR-ALLS!!

Look for Whetzell from Pittsburg to be in the finals at 152lbs.

None of those 103's would place in 4A or 5A at State.

What do you mean Chief? Place @ a regional or place @ state?

I'll take Thibault @ 140...He's beat Booe, Frey, and Holub already this year. 152 is a toss-up.

I won't be wrestling at regionals this year because i was dismissed from the team yesterday for failing a random drug test that our school does on the athletes weekly. I failed from using chewing tobacco. I just wanted to say sorry to anyone that feels like I let them down. I let myself down especially with this being my senior year. Good luck to all the wrestlers and to whoever is going to take my place at state. I'll be watching.

What a shame. I've watched him wrestle for years. Great kid.

I am very sorry to hear this. As you know I have watched you wrestle since Kids and always enjoyed visiting with your dad.

Keep your head up and be proud for assuming responsibility for your actions.

Best of luck in all your future endeavors.

WHAT?!?! They test for CHEWING TOBACCO these days?!?! My have things changed.

We just didn't chew in school or at school events because getting caught with a dip in by a staff member meant trouble, but at home or out driving around town we never worried about it. Sorry to hear that Aron.

In the brand new rankings only one of them (Williamson-WI) is ranked in the state at 321A, and he's ranked 5TH!! I was only implying that it was going to be the toughest weight to qualify for state in at that regional because they are all of nearly equal talent.

Yeah I know. It's pretty screwy but rules are rules I guess. I'm still going to be in the wrestling room until the season is over to help my teammates out. I do have some good news, though. I'm going to be signing on with Neosho County Community College on the 6th or 7th. I'm glad for that. It gives me a chance to redeem myself.

Thats too bad for both of those items. Did you see the regioal last weekend at Chanute? Dont just rush into signing just because you are in a difficult time right now. Not everyone can have the prom queen, but you sure dont have to settle for the ugliest girl in the class either.

I admire you taking responsibility for your poor choice. You admit that you knew the rules and that you violated one. I also like that you are moving on with your efforts to both help the team and yourself. Don't listen to anyone who wants to throw you a pity party. No "victim" mentality for you. Good luck!
