I know that there aren't any easy tournaments, but which tournaments throughout the year do you think it is most possible for less experienced wrestlers to place at?..Whoa, that wasn't very good grammar...but also, which teams are at said tournaments?

Which part of the State would be most useful if you are trying to find a place for a young team to go? Or just a discussion?

Spring Hill and Prairie View were easier to place at than some of the others.

MISSION VALLEY! Chapman has brought jv guys that have finished Top 4 and we hardly have a jv! Chapman usually wins by almost 100pts each year...a lot of schools bring jv to it and some smaller schools bring split squads.

The Wyandotte County tournament is probably the easiest tournament I ever competed in.

Coach Neil is joking here lol. Sure nothing easy about the Bobcat. The Wyandotte Classic has had a bunch of state champs wrestle in it. There was a time not long ago when that was a pretty fiesty days work.

SM North had two of the best teams in Johnson County with Aquinas and SM East. Aquinas ended up ranked 34th in the nation. Some of other teams had some very good individual competitiors too. I know my son ran into a tough one in Nick Langford of Harmon in the 285 final. So I guess Ricky if you think this one is so easy you should get your team entered into it next year. Ricky, is there any chance you are gutwrench1 who also did not have a high opinion of this tournament?

This is possibly the stupidest topic i have ever heard about.. every tourney depends on the year and how good the teams are. there are tourneys that are weak some years but could be tough some.. it just varies so whoever started this post needs to think a little more about waht they actually are saying

Gutwrench1? The only wrenches I use are when I'm fixing up my car before a big race.

I am not so sure about your lack of familiarity with gutwrenches though, Ricky Bobby. I think your style so far of mostly humorous posts and your occassional serious post that shows you do have some knowledge of the past and current Kansas wrestling scene is beginning to make me think that this may have not been the last post from the person who once called himself gutwrench1.

By God, it was just an awful night. Everything was going just as I predicted when the Ft. Scott kid ignites a little fire that spreads like wild across a KS prairie. Madl and Hurla catch on and next thing we know is there's a pretty good case of KS red arse a goin'. That sawed-off, gutsy little Hurla and that Bowen boy done made a liar out of me on this public forum an humiliated me. But, that ain't the half of it. As I was leaving the gym, some KS hs coach, maybe from one of them catholic schools with a mad-on spots me sneakin' out with them poor folks from Misery. He rabbit punches me behind my ear and it felt like he had a rock in his hand or a sock o'nickles and another one gives me a froggie in the thigh. Now, I'm have dizzy spells and can't pronounce my r's and I sound just like Elmer Fud. I kept tellin the docto and the police that I was mugged at a westlin match......by god someone just pulled up the trailor house with what looks like a live bear, a pink tutu and a video camera. Looks like it's some of them serious boys from ks has found me. I gotta make a run for it but i got a limp from the froggie. If you miss gutstench, you can find me with a real mad on over on the misery.com board.

Truly yours,

Gutwrench1

You got to admit Ricky that sense of humor is very much like yours.
