Hats off to Holton! It was awesome. I stay in the stands and I could see everything. There were no people clustered around the edges of the mat blocking my view. The few times people started to sit on the floor, a man came by and politely asked them to move back up in the stands. It was great.

Alright listen up Moms, your child will need your support all through life, weather its screaming at a pee wee match,a High school match, an olympic match, a cage match or a WWE match. Guess who the first person they show in the stands on TV? Yea its Mommy and shes got a 3'x 4' sign with a bronze card glued to the upper left corner. My Mom always carried a sign out in front of the police station that said please free Will Cokley, she new he had a future.

I attended sub district in Lindsborg this weekend and it wasn't the moms or dads that were a pain in the a... It was the MULTIPLE coaches and WESTLERS that were not wrestling or about to wrestle yet. I had to step out of the stands 3 times in one match just to see. It was the hosting teams coaches and wrestlers (how ironic). I don't think they mean't to be in the way...but when I can't go matside then I have to be able to see. The refs were doing a good job of trying to keep only coaches and wrestlers matside but we need only 2 coaches per child and no additional wrestlers. I think a ref should not start the match until these requirements are there. Its to bad we may need a ref to also ref matside events. I always wondered why do we need 2 coaches? These are kids. I loved the Security shirts they looked awesome-but what were the rules. We can debate this forever. Is anyone hurting the wrestler or the coach? Is the tourney running smoothly? Can the refs do their jobs? Can table workers see and hear? These are the things we should really focus on. But, if you are at matside SIT DOWN!!!

I think the coach should be left to the coaches and the cheering left to the parents and friends. When the cheering interferes with the coaching you are taking away from what the coach and kids have worked hard for all year. I think mat side coaching by other than the coach takes away from the kids performance.

Cheer on your kids!!! Be there for them when they win a match and say "yes I did it!" and when they lose and have tear filled eyes be there for a hug!
P.S. You are going to hear me yell for my kid no matter where you put me in the gym!
Live each day like it's your last!!!!!

i have just a few things to say about people standing around the mats. yes they need to sit down or just not be there at all. if its just a regular gym floor i dont care what you do, it will be hard to see unless your at the top of the bleachers. so if you are here complaining week after week then move your butts to the top. the kids and coaches need the darn floor space to warm up. we cannot warm up in the stands so thats usually the only dang place we have. coaches need to be there to help the kids warm up at the younger ages. tired of all the bickering about i cant see this or i cant see that. move up so you can and stop complaining. your there for the kids to wrestle not for you to see. if you want to see that bad then get your coaching card and be matside. have a nice day and good luck to all the wrestlers that made it through. we are done and its baseball time. we will be back next year.

At baseball games you have the dads up at the fence... At football games you have the dads pacing up and down at the sidelines....
So, how about at wrestling you have the moms on the mat!!??
