I just want to say congratulations to our wrestling team. What an excellent group of young men. They really wrestled for each other and had that team magic today. It has been an honor coaching them.

Great bunch of boys and coaches! I know rankings are tough to do, but I never understood why Holton wasn't even ranked the majority of the season. This was no cinderella team. They fought hard and wrestled well all season. It all played out in the end. Congratulations.

Outstanding tournament for Holton. Their backside points were huge. Most teams that have won state in the past have 2-3 finalists and/or champions. Holton had 1 champion, 1 wrestler place 4th, and 4 wrestlers place 5th. And this team has a lot of sophomores on it, so they could be around for a while.

Good point on the rankings. They were ranked 9th in the final ranking. 4 of their 6 placers were ranked. Price was ranked 3rd and took 1st. 126 & 132 were both unranked and placed 5th. That was a big difference in the final team scores.

Congrats to all involved but special congrats to Cully Jackson. It certainty takes a village to win it, but a great leader is essential. Cully is just that. He's also a great guy.
