I know that everyone likes to argue about which tournament is the toughest of the year. Well, I would like to say that the panther classic, held in Phillipsburg the frist weekend of February has got to be considered. I know that it is only one day, but you will have to look hard to find a tougher one day tournament in the state. This year we had 40 state placers from 321A and 4A, along with 6 guys who were state champs. We also had some of the state finals matches from 321A previewd at our tournament. Including 103,125, 140. It was truly a great tournament. Not to mention the teams that were there:
Hoxie, Norton, Colby, Concordia, Wellsville, Ellsworth, to name a few.

There is no way anyone can argue with the Newton Tourney. Come on now, how can you even consider those other rinky dink tourneys. What's 321 A?

We have traveled all over the state this year and seen teams from Goodland to Kansas City. I can say without any doubt the toughest tournament in the state of Kansas this year and most years is
NEWTON !!!!!!!!!!!

I would have to agree that Newton is probably the toughest tournament in the state. It has been known that way for years. As for one day tournaments though, it is pretty tough to beat the Panther Classic.
