There will be a freestyle session starting this Thursday evening at Labette Community College at 6:00. Any high school or to be high school student is welcome. Coach Renfro has agreed to open his room and have a few of his kids help with the program. The room will be open every Thursday until LCC ends classes for the year.

Neosho County Community College has also decided to open its room for freestyle sessions on Tuesday evenings at 6:00. Thank you Coach Wiles. Everone is welcome to attend at Parsons or Chanute or both if so inclined. The session last week at Parsons was great. Thanks to Coach May for the time and effort. There were about 20 kids there and hopefully we can get around 30 there this week. Chanute had the greatest number of athletes so the rest of us SEK boys need to step it up so they dont get too far ahead of us.

LCC will be hosting a freestyle session tonight at 6:00. The LCC wrestlers have done a great job working with all athletes that attend. Coach Joe Renfro will also be a part of the session tonight as well. There will be some freestyle specific drills introduced this evening and situational drilling added at the end of the session. We had kids from Columbus, Labette County, Chanute, Cherryvale and Pittsburg represented last week. Turn out was around 35 kids last week.

The final freestyle/greco session will be tonight at Labette Community College. The staff at LCC has done a great job in making kids better wrestlers in southeast Kansas. Thanks for all the help. Its great to see kids give back to their communities and the best sport in the world.
