It's a tough call. In our district, (D/4North) apparently it works the same way when you get to setting up the placing in 12 and under where you have 6th graders, and then 7th graders who have wrestled Junior High, as well as 9th graders in 14/U vs high school. I really feel it boils down to common sense and a coaches ethical and moral conscience. Some coaches have that, while others do not. Yes, in most cases it will resolve itself in the end, however it can effect where wrestlers end up at their districts, and in turn hurts their advancement at state. Pancake, you are right, in alot of cases #1 will more than likely resolve itself, but 2, 3, and 4 can definitly be effected by this. As far as the 6/U issue, my advise would be if you have that talented of a 6/u kid, put him in 8/U occasionally so that you have a bonified arguement at the end of the year as far as placement. I dont know how you handle the 12/U vs. JR. High and 14/U vs. H.S. other than common sense. How about other districts, what do you do in these circumstances???
