A coach that retired 7 years ago told me once that the same guy you are talking about use to always want to be best buddies when they were at the same invitational tournament early in january and then come state tourney time he was too arrogant to even speak to him. How did you ever respect him?

I'm not from Norton, but BJ was one of the most classy coaches I have ever met. Maybe it was just that time of the month.
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!

Im sure it was nothing personal against your team or anyone of its members. I wrestled from 7th grade throughout my senior year and i cannot count on two hands the coaches that didnt come through and shake my had after the match. If this is marcus nutting from hill city that started the topic, then u have no reason to talk smack about someones class, i seem to remember an exhibition match last year against norton where u had a temper tantrim and lost a point. i think u ended up getting pinned by that jv kid also.

Fanatic-- Yes, I used to have a signature which had a quote about the Bible. However, I did not "always say" that "everything in the Bible is phoney-baloney."
I believe the signature actually said, "It is just my personal opinion which I am not trying to force on anyone, but I feel that some of the stuff in the Bible is a bunch of phoney-baloney."
I had a good reason for the tagline, and if you would like for me to go on in more detail, I will. But just so I don't get a bunch of "Hey jerk, this is a wrestling forum" replies, I will leave it at that.
Congrats, Aquinas! Great job, Hat Town! Salyer Rules!

As far as I am concerned a coach should ALWAYS extend his hand. We are here to coach and be role models. There is no reason why a coach should not extend his hand. Even if the kids did somehting worng....we are the adults!

I wasn't present Thursday so I don't know what the particulars of the situation where, but I am sure there is a logical explanation. I know I have missed shaking some kids hands because I was busy doing other things, like running to another mat to coach another kid, trying to get the next kid ready to wrestle, or any of 1000 things a coach has to worry about.
Any fool can criticize, complain, and condemn- and most do.
