Wonder how "The Concordia wrestler" Strait has done, since he dodged all the wrestlers at Colby Invitational? Just an observation. Iknow they said he was sick. He only wrestled the ones he knew he could win.

Is this a serious comment? Are you really questioning the integrity of a two time state champ? Come on! Strait is a quality kid who wrestles for a quality program. When he competes for his third state championship in March, the least of his concerns will be who won the Colby Invitational.

To Rhino, and I'm assuming this is a pseudonym. You said you were making an observation. If you had been more observant you would have noticed that he only wrestled when the dual was on the line. The choice was all mine, I felt he showed great leadership as a senior by wrestling with a 102 temperature for his team. If you want to call my decisions unscrupulous, go ahead. I'm sure you have 26 years of coaching and two state titles to add to your resume.
Sincerely,
Doug Moore (my real name)

Doug Just a little curious. I dont know all the facts but, why would you let him wrestle with a 102 temp.?

I was wondering the same thing. It seems as if he could spread his illness to his opponent and others. Again, just curious also.

I was told by the Concordia wretlers that he was sick, I understand that. I am not taking anything away from Striat. (good Wrestler) I just noticed that every match he did not wrestle, was a wrestler who had the potential to beat him. The matches he did wrestle were easy matches. You can say it was to protect the dual wins. I think it was to protect his record. I will enjoy seeing what he has to offer at state.

What I am saying is I was disappionted that I did not get to see him wrestle someone tough. A wrestler with his caliber is why we like to go to the Colby Duals. If he was sick he shouldn't of wrestled. Potentially giving everyone the illness.

To the interested parties and then it is my wish that this topic can be put to rest. Jacob had a sinus infection, which is not contagious. He was taking medication and it just had to run its course. As for protecting a record, people often learn more from a loss than a win. It's better that he lost at the Beloit Inv. than at the state tournament.
