Congratulations need to go out to Steven Kern of Wamego as he won the 184 lb. title wrestling for Kansas State University at the NWCA National Collegiate Wrestling Championships today. He won a 2-0 decision over Steve Gerrard of Colorado State University in the finals. He pinned his previous three kids to get into the finals. He is the second national champion at Kansas State along with Dave Karnowski.

Congratulations also need to go out to Trevor Charbonneau from Clay Center as he won the 125lb. class for Nebraska-Kearney last night at the D2 nationals.

Congratulations also need to go out to Trevor Charbonneau from Clay Center as he won the 125lb. class for Nebraska-Kearney last night at the D2 nationals. Not only did he win, he did it with great class against a tough true freshman giving the dissapointed youngster a pat on the back and words of encouragement. NCKL was well represented at DII: Taplin, Marrs, Charbonneau, Grater all qualified.
