Three LCC wrestlers place at OU

NORMAN, Okla. - Three wrestlers from Labette Community College placed at the Oklahoma Open at the University of Oklahoma here on Saturday.

Willy Pendleton, a sophomore from Lemoore, Calif., finished second in the 149-pound weight category with a record of 3-1. Joe Yust, a sophomore from Seneca, Mo., finished third (2-1) in the 174-pound division and Ben Hohensee, a red-shirt freshman from Monett, Mo., finished third (2-1) in the heavyweight division.

Won dec. 14-9 over Clint Swango, Oklahoma City University;
Won Tech Fall 17-1 over Adam Schwandt of LCC;
Won dec. 12-3 over Aaron Hill of Newman University;
Lost dec. 9-2 against Seth Vernon from OU.

Yust:
Lost by fall against Steve Nijoka of OU;
Won dec. 9-3 over Josh Bryant, McKendree College;
Won dec. 11-5 over John Wilcox of Oklahoma City University.

Hohensee:
Lost dec. 5-0 against Luis Hernandez of OU;
Won injury default over Braden Land of University of Central Oklahoma;
Won dec. 11-6 over Jeremy Johnson of Oklahoma City University.
