Some good matches out west were Bryce Bahe Goodland, Corey Lira Ulysses and Joseph Beardsley Scott City. In kids they battled each other a lot. Some very good matches.

Showing my age.... I wrestled E.K. Franks in high school, only 1 match but one I will never forget. E.K. hung around Andale a little bit back in the day, so we kind of knew each other, "He liked an Andale girl". We had a dual against Wellington, parents and all were there, we walked out on the mat, shook hands, and right before we started I told him,"make it look good my family is here" What a sport he waited until the 2nd period to pin me.........LOL. IMO. He was the best wrestler from 86-90 saw Creary a couple times but nothing like "KILLER" and a good sport to boot!!!

ok who was the meanest kid in wrestling. I have a few in mind. Lance Hill from coffeyville, Matt Roark from Columbus, Lonnie Finney clearwater, Josh Gooch wellington and E.K Franks Wellington. I would throw myself in there but I was not as good as those guys but I will say if you werent bleeding after we wrestled then I must have been scared of you lol. brant peterson and rob cicero have to rank up there. cicero and hill had some real crazy battles each wrestled with broken parts (hand and nose) sr year. peterson was extremely strong for a 125 lber. if you didn't roll over, he tried to break you, jason hoover coffeyville, and ben lawrence chanute would attest.

meanest kid. I would say Borror from Ark City. Pure aggression and unstoppable.
Well you're just a special kind of stupid aren't you?

I am trying to get Finney to give me the tape of the match where he shut down the state tournament so I can put it on here. I seen it a long time ago but I bet everyone would like to see it.

jon white columbus vs. matt roark columbus or Johnny McCreary wellington. Mccreary vs. Hernandez from Ark City. oh hell just take all the 3 and 4 time state champions that were at the same weight and have a tournament with them all. anyone want to do that like they do on the discovery channel lol. that would be kinda fun. no beeson we dont want you making up these matches so you will win either lol.

McCreary beat Beeson 6-2 in the Derby finals of 1990.
Hernandez beat McCreary at the East West Sr. matches.

jon white and bobby lashley were roommates in college it think, they were team natl champs. hell jon demonstrates moves at practice at 110%, he and gooch were the most aggressive that i have seen in hs.

joe renfro was nasty too, i remember usa kids maybe 14u, he dominated 4x champ devin bahm. bahm ripped off some of renfro's ear, he taped it back on and kept at him. blast double here i come. i think joe would wrestle anywhere anytime, pavement, gravel, i wouldn't matter.

did jones and franks ever wrestle. that might have been an interesting match. ok maybe it would have been more like mma or a fight than a wrestling match.

I think Josh Gooch coaches football in Hutch these days. I went to school with him and he could go from zero to evil and back in the blink of an eye. I watched him fight a kid after school one day and the first move was a jump kick to the face and the second was him helping the kid up and to his car!!!! True Story! lol
