Our schedule will be:

Monday, June 14th-Meet in Lawrence, KS at Auto Exchange Car Dealership(Will Cokeley's) at 11:00 a.m.
Depart from the dealership in vans at 12:00 p.m. for Blair, NE for a one day training camp at Dana University. We will be holding two workouts that evening. We will be staying in the dorms on the campus of Dana University.

Tuesday, June 15th-8:00 a.m. workout. Clean-up and check out of Dana University. Depart Dana by 11:00 a.m. for Rochester, MN

Arrive in Rochester, MN at approx. 4:00 p.m.
Team Registration is from 5-6 p.m.

Wednesday, June 16th-Greco Weigh Ins @ 8:00 a.m.
Wrestling begins @ 9:30 a.m.

The team will return home after the completion of wrestling on Saturday, June 19th.

hey russ this is Dustin Reed i would like to say if you need i can try and cut to 105 to help the team out.

For those wrestlers that are coming from Western Kansas that it might be to difficult to make it to Lawrence by 11:00 a.m. on the 14th? Please contact me and let me know. Travis Keal(National Team Coach) has made arrangements for wrestlers to stay at his house and then help get them to Lawrence on the day of departure. So, if you would like to send your wrestler up on Sunday, June 13th? They may stay at Coach Keal's house that evening and then he can get them to Lawrence the next morning.

Talked to Dan Gentzler a few weeks ago, and he said Zack is going as well. He will be a great addition. I left Zack a message to let me know what weight he will go. I am assuming 105, but will let you know when I hear back from him.

Left a message for Jarin "Downtown" Brown. He told me way back when that he will go. The big boy from Concordia will have to give up a few cheeseburgers this week to make 285.

I can't emphasize enough how advantageous/important it is to have at least 2 good wrestlers at each weight. Trust me, you will get all of the mat time that you want, whether "1st" or 2nd" team. It is nice to have two tough kids so that we can give rest to the other one. Most states have a Greco Team, and a Freestyle team, and mostly all different kids on each. So Kansas traditionally has not done as well in freestyle as greco, as the grind has caught up to us in freestyle. If we can keep people on this team fresh, we'll be nails tough in both styles.

So, from looking at the above roster, we need another 125, another 130, along with an 84 lb kid. Does anyone have contact info for Parker Howell, can he make 84? Also, who was the 84 lb kid that was at KS FS GR state?

Cadet Dual Checklist:

Medical Release Form(Waiver)-Filled out, Signed, and Turned In

Total Balance of $250 due at departure on June 14th in Lawrence.

Copy of USA Wrestling Card or have the card with them(physically)

Sleeping Bag, Pillow and Bathroom Needs for Training Camp @ Dana University.

Russ, the original email you sent me had a word document that was not letting me open. Can you resend the documents that we need to have filled out?

Or maybe you could hav Mike Juby scan the documents in and post a link to them? That might be easier.

Attn: Mike and Bo Pursel. I am calling you out. Why in the H#ll is Bo not wrestling the Duals??!!**********Just talked to Mike Pursel, and Bo has HS finals rodeo next week, so he can't do it***********

If he can't make 84, we'll take him at 125 or 130 or 135. Only one kid at 130 and 135 is asking for trouble if we have an injury.

Great Work on Jaron Brown, that takes care of our heavyweight situation. As for the forms you need filled out on the front page of usawks.com there is a link to "Junior/Cadet". If you click on that you will find the Medical Waiver Form (Insurance Information) needed to compete in the duals. This is the only form needed and it must be present to compete in Minnesota. You may print that off and fill it out and bring it to Lawrence when we leave. Make sure that you also have your USA Wrestling Card or a copy of it with you.
