If your kids fall in love with winning and not wrestling they will not become champions. Teach them to wrestle to find ways to tap their potential and exploit their opponents. Teach your youngsters that not winning isn't losing but learning. When they don't get their hand raised a hug should be waiting for them and there will be a time to figure out what to do better or differently the next time.

A wrestling career is a marathon, not a sprint. Many of those at the back of the pack will pass those who quit, give up, or slow down. You will be surprised ten years from now those who will stand at the top of the podiums at the HS state tournaments. Give your kids the encouragement and support to finish the marathon.
