Yeah back in the good ole day their used to be the Schlagle Inv and Wyandotte Inv... But due to the powers that be those tournaments consolidated for a few years then fell apart... I know at Schlagle we don’t have a single home meet this year. The Schlagle Inv used to attract school from across the state... With moves like this you can understand y wrestling in KCK has fallen off...
The only 2 tournaments in KCK are Piper and WYCO... WYCO is the Wyandotte County Inv in which ALL of the high school in Wyandotte County participate in with the exception of Bonner Springs who stopped coming to their county's tournament about 4 years ago after the tournament was canceled due to the ice storm.
Its not over yet...

Man I remember those 2 tourny's vividly. I haven't seen All of Wynadottes team but I did see some of the JV kids that i coached over at Northwest Middle School. They looked pretty good. Darius Fant at Wyandotte should be on Varsity at 125/130. He was killing cats at the BVN JV tourny.

Rockhurst,
Of course the Basehor/Linwood Tournament coming up Jan. 13 and 14 is a great tournament in Wyandotte County.

The Basehor-Linwood Bobcat Classic is in Leavenworth County, but will have two Wyandotte County schools there, Turner and Bonner. No K.C.K. district schools will be there, but absolutely a great tournament!

KC,
You are absolutely correct. Little wonder I could never find that place.
