A personal favorite...Steve Owens, Heisman Trophy winner and Detroit Lions first 1000-yd rusher. Became AD in Norman, but resigned when son committed suicide. Played on some below par Sooner teams during college days. The most "dominant" running back (for power and no. of carries per game) in his day.

Steve McNair, Steve Wooster (original Texas wishbone) and, arguably, the best "Steve" name...an above average linebacker (with the Colts, I think) Steve Stonebreaker.

Excellent Bracketman! ....... let's not forget Steve Van Buren, Hall of Fame running back for the Eagles! ........ Wrestling next ........ I'll take the easiest with Steve Fraser and see where we go from there!

Football/Wrestlers - Steve McMichaels (from BMOCPAPA's Da-Bears) and Steve (Dr. Death) Williams. More recently, Steve Mocco and Stephen Abas. Cannot remember his last name, but there was a Hwt in the late 90's, back-to-back Natl Champion from California (Cal State-Bakersfield comes to mind, but just not sure). The brain cells are surely dying at a higher rate when you get old.

Almost forgot Steve Grogan (in football) and, of course, where would we be without Steve Sabol (and his dad, Ed) and NFL films? Those films are priceless and dominant..."the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field".

Good call on both ...... "Stone Cold" Steve Austin comes to mind ...... hockey "Steves"? ...... will have to defer to Canadian Steve on that one .......

I believe you are referring to Stephen Neal, the former 2-time heavy champ who is now playing guard for the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

Another mighty Steve--Steve Forbes, former Republican candidate for President in 1996 and owner of Forbes magazine. (Unfortunately for Steve Forbes, his campaign certainly was not dominant.) If you can somehow induct him into the RAOS, you will surely have chicken wings for life.

You will have to come enjoy wings with us post-season, bigosteve ....... while there are a few rituals we observe and we must stay true to our stated purpose, we are not a secret society ...... maybe PAPA, Bracket-Man, chewbaca, can make it also ....... might also be a fun daytrip for Prant and some of the boys from Hat Town ...... we'll just have a wing-ding with everyone who has contributed to the RAOS thread this year!
