Probably invisibility.

Definately stopping time or hyper speed.

Throwing fire balls would be sweet set up for a double leg! Or anything else for that matter.

Speed beats strength every time!

The ability to stretch, like MR Fantastic.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 02:02 PM

What about the "Spidey sense" and super agility with super strength?

Spiderman wrestled, and then started his super hero career.
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 02:20 PM

The Hulk gets stronger the longer he wrestles. Mr. Fantastic would never get pinned and would be a mean leg rider.
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 02:59 PM

The other good thing about being Spider Man is that if he is having trouble making weight, he can just shoot a couple pounds of web on the floor.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 03:08 PM

The Ability to call wild animals to your defense, would be a nice one haha.

What about having Chuck Norris as your coach? You would be unstoppable!
Posted By: usawks1

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 04:35 PM

... and they would all fall victim to Chuck Norris!
Posted By: Chase

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 08:07 PM

I think Mr. T would be a better selection
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/14/07 08:17 PM

The Hulk would be pretty cool. You come out all Bruce Bannister and when you get on your back, you turn green, explode your singlet and do a nasty 5 point reversal.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/15/07 03:59 AM

My vote would go to the ability to become liquid. Ever wrestled water?

What about time travel? If you lose you just go back and redo it until you get it right

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/15/07 05:09 PM

What about just turning into Chuck Norris rather than having him as your coach? Having the sweet moves to do a roundhouse kick to the head!!
Posted By: turk

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/15/07 07:18 PM

or maybe be an unstopable cage figher like kip dynamite

wouldnt a roundhouse kick to the ehad get you idk....... disqualified lol just a thought though

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:18 AM

or spiderman u could web them up and they wouldnt be able to do anything plus u would be fast, strong , and have spidey senses you couldnt lose

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 12:50 PM

The problems with time travel are twofold. First, you may have to relive a Ross Taplin headlock several hundred times before you are successful in defeating him. Second, as demonstrated by Back to the Future, you may jeopordize your own existance and have to get your parents back together.

PS: Great topic, Scarecrow!! This has been fun.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 01:58 PM

Seeding in an 8 man bracket would probably go something like this:

1. Superman
2. Incredible Hulk
3. Spiderman
4. Mr. Fantastic
5. The Green Lantern
6. Luke Skywalker
7. Wonderwoman
8. Batman
Posted By: PatrickCavanaugh

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:08 PM

Wonderwoman needs bumped. You missed the seed for Chuck Norris.
Posted By: Chief Renegade

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:17 PM

I agree with your top two. The Green lantern would not be able to wear his ring which would render him a novice. Luke Skywalker would get teched before the force could help him. Unless Spiderman had a skin disease, his tights would not allow him to wrestle. I would substitute Flash for Wonderwoman because of his stalling abilities.
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:22 PM

Chuck is in the other subdistrict.

1. Chuck Norris
2. Captain Marvel
3. Neo
4. The Bionic Man
5. Auquaman
6. Captain America
7. Catwoman
8. The Flash

Beast Boy

Real Name: Garfield “Gar” Logan

Group Affiliation: Titans
Past Group Affiliation: Doom Patrol*
Base of Operations: San Francisco
Hair: Green (originally blonde)
Eyes: Green (originally blue)

This kid deserves an at-large bid into the tournament. He has the ability to transform himself into any animal except a fish.

What happened to peter parker in the line-up?

Chief and jammer, great ideas, I can't stop laughing. This is too funny.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:37 PM

Also, side question, is this the correct scoring system for a dual?

Decision 3 team points under 8 difference
Major Decision 4 team points 8-14 difference
Tech Fall 5 team points 15 difference
Fall 6 team points
Forfeit 6 team points
DQ 6 team points
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 02:39 PM

Peter Parker is the 3 seed under his alias Spiderman.

We'll add Beast Boy and make a 16 man bracket. He falls in as the 9 seed and will wrestle Batman in the 1st round. The other seven get byes.

That's correct. In Germany, it's just the opposite.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 03:10 PM

and indiana jones him and chuck norris would make a good match but im leaning toward chuck
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 03:18 PM

We'll slide the Freeze in as the 5 seed and change the other side to a 16 also. Catwoman and The Flash are now wrestling in the 1st round. Indiana Jones has no special powers except finding old things. I don't think he would be able to hang in either of these brackets.

Luckily the Hulk remembered his skin release form.
Posted By: Scott Fausset

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 03:26 PM

You might as well build a full set of districts.
Three more I can think of.
1 The super senses and agility of Daredevil.
2 The forcefield/invisibilty of Invisible Girl.
3 Line of sight tranport - Nightcrawler.

The brackets are complete. You can start having hypothetical matches now.
Posted By: PatrickCavanaugh

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/16/07 06:32 PM

Windjammer, I believe there is a problem with the seeding. Nigel is tough, that's a given, but how in the world do you have Lord Voldemort as an 8 seed for Nigels first match? I mean come on, he's much tougher then Hoss Cartright ever thought of being(unless the match is on the Ponderosa). Nigle worked hard for his 1 seed & I see a travesty in the making if Voldemort pulls some of his dark magic tricks. I think there needs to be a seeding meeting.

Man a man after my own heart now. I actually met Buford Pusser 2X and spent the night at a place he used to live, with the woman who kept the kids while he and Pauline went on that faitful car trip on the morning of August 12. Plenty of photos, including me at the burnt out State Line Bar. Yes any man who remembers Buford is a friend of mine. I actually still keep in touch with his daughter Dwana.

Now on this, does Buford get the big stick or does he have to go without it?

He would be allowed to use it but would probably leave it in the truck to make it more of a fair fight. Did you ever get a picture with him? He was a great American.

That's why they wrestle the match. The best super hero wins.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 05:50 PM

1. The Terminator - He is the terminator.
2. Neo - He is the one.
3. Superman - He is the man.
4. Lord Voldemort - He is the wizard, although he fears Albus Dumbledore. Too bad Albus didn't pass five classes and was ineligible.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 07:15 PM

I'd say Borat would win. I mean the guy wrestled some fat dude naked in his movie. Sure he's not a "super hero" but he's my hero. But if that doesn't do it for you how about a little Highlander, yeah no body messes with Highlander.
Posted By: windjammer

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 07:31 PM

Come on, Connor MacLeod is a "C" wrestler at best in this bracket. His prompt decapitation by any of the 4 finalists would end his tourney and his 471 year life. Borat Schmorat. The fat dude was probably naked because The Terminator took his clothes. Now that's tough.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 07:48 PM

the terminator wouldnt stand a chance against Chuck Norris
Posted By: Crash99

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 08:19 PM

1. The Terminator
2. Neo
3. Superman
4. Lord Voldemort
Posted By: Curtis Chenoweth

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/21/07 08:42 PM

Wolverine-all his bones are steel, that pretty much makes him part machine but still moves like a human and is just to agile for the Terminator
Neo-he's still the one
Superman-he's still my hero and he's invincible as kryptonite is banned from the match
Lord Voldermort-He's the dark lord and he's only gettin stronger with each victory

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/22/07 12:35 PM

i hope that somebody other than me thought about the fact that no matter who you are, wrestling just may not be your thing, take superman for example, yea he's strong and fast and has but one weakness, but what if he looked like a total nimrod when he wrestled and just wasn't any good at it...consider it

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/22/07 12:44 PM

I think that when the winner of this one is declared we should have a tournament of the horror monsters, ghosts, so forth, against the winner of the good guy super hero. A little mean, and dirty against a little class and technique is always a fun one to watch. I mean can you imagine seeing Jason go up against Bloodgood from See No Evil?
Posted By: smelancers130

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/22/07 12:57 PM

we have to add the juggerknot from 13 ghost into this one...he may just win, are alien and predator considered good guys?
Posted By: smelancers130

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/22/07 12:58 PM

also...Jeepers Creepers(may be a problem because the tourney would have to take place within his 23 day time limit, and hope that it has been 23 springs since his last awakening) Freddy krugger, Frankensteins monstor, Count Dracula, werewolf, Jason Vorheis, Dr. Jeckel (mr. hide), mr. octavius.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/22/07 01:15 PM

haha it would be a good match with The Ring Chick vs. The Grudge Chick

I think Chuck Norris' evil counterpart, Chuckie, would be pretty tough.

All right. It appears that the audience feels that the gift of flight and general indestructability are the most valuable wrestling super powers.

The finals:

The Master of Disaster, The King of Sting...SUPERMAN
vs
The Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah, The One...NEO

Let's get ready to rumble.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/23/07 03:17 PM

uhh you guys are all retarded..Dark Phoenix..aka Jean Grey would dominate all of these guys, i mean having the power of telekinesis is top notch, she would just have to stand there and can make superman pin himself..and for the record, on alot of comic book forums, they all agree that Superman would lose to Dragonball Z's finest..goku, but i would still have to pick Jean Grey
Posted By: AKnorr

superman

Neo - with the ability to control the Matrix as he sees fit, would be able to strip Superman of his powers to win.

oh almost forgot, Neo would make the ankle bands out of kryptonite as well.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/26/07 03:51 AM

Everyone's wrong! This tournament is not being held in the matrix so that takes a lot of Neo's powers away leveling the playing field. Superman wins by 3 points in the 4th OT.

Re: Most Valuable Wrestling Super Power - 03/29/07 01:28 PM

I think I'm late in getting my vote in, but I would have to go with Neo over superman, cuz even if superman killed him or something, Neo would do some crazy thing and come back, then superman would be so surprised that Neo would stick him thirteen seconds later.
