injury report on lane hamm

We just wanted to give everyone an injury report on Lane. He is doing okay. Topeka hospital did xrays, nothing broke, however it is a possibility that he tore a tendon or ligament in his knee. He has to see his regular doctor on Monday, and see about doing an MRI. Will post later, after we get some more info from his doctor.

Glad Lane is ok..There were soooo many injuries this year..I have never in my many years of coming to state, witnessed this many injuries on the mat! would be interesting to know how many went to the hospital over the course of the tournament..and hopefully no serious injuries!!!

Just wondering if the kids aren't getting warmed up good enuff before matches??

I know that Lane was the 3rd wrestler to be seen at the Topeka hospital, when we arrived there.
Lane was warmed up good enough. He just went down on that knee wrong, and it twisted, when he tried to stand up he just couldn't do it.
With that many wrestlers there is bound to be a few injuries.

Just wanted to give update on Lane, his knee is doing much better. He is up and walking on it, limping though. Still swollen, but not as bad. If its not completely better in a couple of weeks then they will do an MRI. Time will tell.

Hey, that is good news. We have been praying for Lane and the other wrestlers that were injured over the weekend. I passed on the good wishes to Gus on Sunday. He had a BIG smile on his face!! He really likes and respects Lane!
