Kade Miller at 10 under 82 will be a scratch. Broke his big toe playing soccer at recess Tuesday. Plus now has the flu. Not a good week for him.

It could be to make sure that everyone is entered by the deadline. This eliminates having entries come in the mail after the deadline and brackets have been made.

Re: Kansas ToC Entries Posted - 01/30/11 02:40 PM

We all know that TOC is a great tournament each year and were glad to be there. Just a few things that seem frustrating to us! The number of scathes were unbelievable, and how that effected each bracket. Track wrestling can solve most of those rebracketing issue between weigh in and match time as well as reseeding if a seeded wrestler scatches. We all know it was a long day, but here we are with open mats at the end of the day and other mats with a huge number of matches still waiting! Please move the the matches and let's go home. Thank you

I got a call from someone in our club telling us they were calling our name to whatever mat we were supposed to be on. I sent the guy an email on Tuesday telling him he was going to scratch because of a broken nose.

When you have this many tournaments in the state on a given week-end you are going to have uncertified refs. There are not enough good ones to go around. The head ref said that only 50% of the refs had to be certified at TOC. It's ashame that these guys don't want to stay in shape so they can do their job. What is even worse is the EGO's that they have. Hope is is better through the qualifing tournaments.

That was very cool. Everything stopped and the crowd began clapping as he was carted down the center of the mats on a spine board, and then he gave a "thumbs up!"

I am also wondering if he was ok?
