S.E.K. Junior Comets - 03/18/11 12:45 AM

I have heard and read some of the commets about the unhappiness in this club. I would pray that everyone who makes a comment one way or the other to please check out both sides (as everystory has one)before making a comment and dividing this club futher. I have read where the qualified 25 of 27 kids from sub-districts to districts that is a little better than 92% wonder who wouldn't want their kids in a winning program. I feel that the people who are running this club and the coaches muct be doing something right. Let the parents get along and let the kids wrestle!!
In Christ!

As a parent of a son who wrestles for the JR Comets I only have good things to say about this club. It has been a great year for our club, as you said 25 of 27 have qualified for Districts and we hope that all 25 take the next step to State. And with the exception of one isolated incident, (which there was another side to the story told) all the parents and kids have got along great. We have fantastic coaches who have taught my son, not only to be a better wrestler but to be a better sport if the match does not go as he expected. All the parents are supportive of each others kids and pitch in to help when needed. I am proud to be a member of the SEK JR Comets. Good luck to everyone at Districts this weekend.

the jr comets are a top notch club. all clubs have issues, some just get more attention, for one reason or another.

keep up the good work.

I have alway liked the Team of Hard Knocks. I don't understand why people keep talking about them. Is this there a different club having problem now?

SEK coached our Sunflower Kids when they traveled to JOC. I had to work and they stepped in. They took great care of our boys and took them under their arm. Their coaches still cheer on our boys and give em some coach talk when they see them. I have nothing but respect for SEK!

I would like to thank everyone for your kind words. Like someone said earlier every club has their problems and we are no different than anyone else, some just get exposed more than others. I would like to say that I am very proud of my wrestlers and that they did a great job at subs. We have worked our butts off and now its paying off. The old rule of thumb in chanute was you will take half of the subs entries to districts and half of those to state, so far we have blown that out of the water,
keep it up boys. SEK Jr Comet wrestlers you have made your coaches and parents proud and I wish you the best of luck at districts and STATE!!! And good luck to everyone else competing this weekend.
