2012 FALL WRESTLING LEAGUE
in Baldwin City, Kansas
WHEN: 6-8 pm for six Wednesdays in September & October
9/5, 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10
WHERE: South Gym, 8th & Chapel Streets, Baldwin City KS
FOR: all area clubs/teams welcome, ages youth thru high school, beginner thru advanced (matches will be paired for age, weight, skill level)
*USA card not required
COST:
$5/per night ($30 total)
or
pay for all six nights at once and get $5 discount ($25 total)
SCHEDULE:
6:00 – 6:15 pm – Check in, pay, weigh-in
6:15 – 6:45 pm – Technique session with area HS coach, BU wrestlers
6:45 – 7:00 pm – hard warm-up for matches
7:00-8:00 pm – live matches on 2 or 3 mats, officiated and scored
The concept is combine technique, drilling, and learning instruction with competition matches. After wrestlers check in/weigh in, matches will be paired while wrestlers are doing a technique session with an area high school coach, or BU wrestler or coach. The lead clinician will differ each evening.
Matches will be wrestled with officiating and scoring. Results will be tracked with various awards presented at the end of the league.
We are hoping for a big turnout of wrestlers from area towns to come and get some good wrestling learning and competing to prepare for the upcoming winter season.
