4-Time NCAA All-American, Cody Garcia will be our Gues Clinician at Burlington Wrestling's "Wednesday on the Mat" at 6:30 pm in the BHS Wrestling Room. The fee is $10 per wrestler to attend. This is OPEN to HS, MS and USA Wrestlers both Boys and GIRLS.
(We are very COVID aware. Mats and Surfaces ae cleaned 1 hour before. Each wrestler's temperature will be taken. Wrestlers will use KeenShield body shield, hand sanitizer, and bring their own water bottles. We also will drill both Shadow (by themselves) and in Groups of 3 to cut down total contacts. Wrestlers will be encouraged to use face masks but are not required. They will use Ken Body Wipes to clean-up after the 2 hour session.)
Coach Garcia was a 3-time State Champion at Hutchinson High School. He signed to wrestle at the University of Nebraska - Omaha, a NCAA Division II progam. Garcia took 3rd, 2nd, 1st and 1st at the NCAAs to finish as a two-time National Champion and four-time All-American. He was also an Academic All-American. He was also a member of FOUR National Championship Teams while at UNO.
Coach Garcia is in his 5th year as the Head Coach of the Baker University Men's and Women's Wrestling Programs. He has turned the Wildcats into a Top 10 National Power in the NAIA rankings.
