Are you asking for this season or overall.

Overall St Francis has the most. Followed by Ark City, Oberlin, and Norton I believe. Not sure about the order of # 2,3,4

I know Goddard had four with 5 finalist and four of the finalist were sophomores with the other being a junior so all 5 return next year.

Thanks 1086
One point per state champion now who won state?
Who has returning state champions for next year?

Re: State Champions per school - 03/01/07 06:30 PM

It's possible to win state with no champs. They really racked up points with a high number of consolation bracket winners.

Re: State Champions per school - 03/01/07 06:32 PM

Then are the championship wins weighted?
What type of programming do you do?

Re: State Champions per school - 03/01/07 06:35 PM

You do get more points for being a champion than a third place winner, but STA had 9 or more placers (could be wrong, I'm sure I will be corrected). That's VERY impressive and led to their spread over BC.

Application programming (mostly C#, .NET, T-SQL and other MS languages)

I apologize, the post that you edited above specifically asked about 5A and questioned how STA won if they had no champs...my mistake.

I do not think it is possible to compare a state champ in one class to a champ of another class or use the number of state champs per school across all classes to determine a 'state winner.' 5A was stacked in a lot of weights that the other classes weren't, and I am sure that it goes the other way as well, with the other classes being stacked where 5A wasn't. Anyways, that could lead to a huge discussion of 'My class is better than your class,' and I don't like those pissing matches \:\)

Re: State Champions per school - 03/02/07 03:31 AM

They had wrestling for 30 more years and only have 10 more champs, that can't be right. Try to get a number, I think that AC is right at 90 state champs with 18 team titles.
