Ranked wrestlers missing from regionals

There were a few top notch kids missing from Regional rosters. Any info as to why some were gone?
Just a couple I noticed:
Shoemaker- Baldwin
D'Angelo- Emporia

Shoemaker was injured just prior to regionals. Looking forward to seeing him on the podium at State next year -
