Folkstyle Nationals - 03/31/12 08:33 PM

Congrats to all the Kansas kids that wrestled in Iowa this weekend. I'am sure I will miss a few but, Congrats to Austin Hood on his 2nd place finish, and to Dustin Williams and Nathan Butler on their 3rd place finishes.

Christian Bowen, first year Cadet 100 went 2-2, or 3-2.
Tyler Mies, first year Junior 120, lost his first match to the eventual champ, and won several before taking his second loss.
Levi Eck, first year Junior 170, was winning his semifinals match in the 3rd period, and nearly getting another takedown before getting in a scramble and being pinned. Pinned Wisconsin state champ to get in for 3rd, and got beat up by a Minnesota kid to end up 4th.

Tanner Odgden lost his first match, and it seemed like he won 6 or 7 matches in a row, but came up a match short of All American round. Every time I looked up at the match board, his name was on it again..........

I'm sure there are plenty of others we are missing.

Tyler Dickman lost his first and one 5 or 6 on the backside, and only needed one more win for All American Status, Jake Ellis won his first 3 and lost his fourth, he also needed only one more win.

He was a small 160 lb kid, but is a competitor.....If he were bigger, I'd compare him to Hacksaw Jim Duggan.......Just not quite all there............
