I would take a look at Tate Withington out of Goodland. I believe he is undefeated this year, took 2nd at Kids state last year, with a win over Tate Steele, who I believe has wins over some of the ranked guys.

Goodland is 4A this year and Withington has at least one loss this season to Carney of Colby.
Here are the latest 321A Rankings! Sorry they were a bit late, I got a little behind the ball during the holidays.

The 321A Rankings have been updated! Again, if anyone has the full brackets from Ellsworth if you could send them my direction it would be appreciated. My email is wyatt_bechtel@yahoo.com.
You are doing a great job with the rankings! I know how hard it must be to complete them. With that, I would like to mention, that Marysville High is a school that is left off the list of the top Ten. It will be interesting to see how the Triple dual between a tough ACCHS, and a well coached Sabetha team will go at Marysville in 2 weeks down the road. I am a fan of Kansas Wrestling and just a spectator, but I must say...Marysville looks hungry this year and I would recommend going to watch them whenever you get a chance.

I believe after the Beloit tourey that Cavanaugh should drop way down, his mental break down was not ok! My opinion.
Why would Jonathan Ball fall out of the rankings, he is 25-0 and just won the Hays tournament, which included your #4 ranked 138 in the bracket.

That was my mistake. I changed the ranking on my spreadsheet, but I missed it for some reason when I was changing the official word document.
I'll try to have it fixed ASAP.
The correction will be made in the official rankings and 120 should like this:
1. Tristan Porsch-9-Hoxie
2. Alex Cavanaugh-10-Silver Lake
3. Ethan Ross-12-Norton
4. Marshall Schottler-12-Lyons
5. Dalton Hensley-9-Ellis

I have been wondering where Ball has been in the rankings myself.
Jonathan Ball was added back into the rankings at 138 this week after a great performance in Hays. The only reason I had him removed after the initial early season rankings was because he did not have enough quality wins over state placers or qualifiers to stay above some of the other wrestlers in the weight who were former state placers or qualifiers themselves.
I look for Ball to remain in the rankings for the rest of the season and have a major impact in Hays, this time at the Gross Memorial Coliseum.

That is some really odd rationale. A returning Kids state champion who is unbeaten, as long as he is eligible and healthy, should NEVER fall out of the rankings because of his competition. NEVER. (Even it is a kids state champ)

Will didn't realize that the there are a couple sets of Balls in Hosington.
Will didn't know Hosington had more Balls than most other towns.
Will got confused when and extra Ball was involved.

Re: 321A Rankings! - 02/01/14 12:53 AM
If the Minneapolis coach Brandon is referring to as "Shady and Ridiculous" was Jeff Giles, then that would be the first time he has ever been referred to in that way. Great coach by just about anybody else's standard. And having tried to whet my horns against him once, I can tell you that he could break most people west of the Mississippi in half if need be. The poor guy can't even swing a golf club right because his pecs are so big.

Re: 321A Rankings! - 02/01/14 01:06 AM
Him being a great guy or how big and strong he is doesn't change the fact that he lied in a seeding meeting.
I'm not questioning his coaching abilities as his athletes attest to him being a successful coach. He has tough kids on his team, but I just think that the move in the seeding meeting was not truthful and our state seeding meetings often go off of an honesty system. Track wrestling does eliminate some of that, however it is all based off of coach honesty. Other states use a database that keeps track of weigh ins (management) and records so that this is eliminated. Like I said earlier it all worked out in the end and I am over it.

Sawyer Like from BVSW not only is a very good wrestler but showed one of the best acts of sportmanship Ive seen in a long while! As for Coach Giles, If he said that he thought his wrestler won then it was because he was miss informed! Ive known Giles for over 25 years and even wrestled for him, and Ive never known a man with more class than him! So as far as a liar, I think not!

Sawyer Like is the real deal. I have a couple of reasons to say just that. He is a solid wrestler and one of the best.
