The Leavenworth and Lansing Communities and local wrestling clubs have teamed up to sponsor a dual against each other that will raised funds to support cancer research. Pin Cancer is a registered 501(c)3 charity. All proceeds go to building awareness on various types of cancer as well as research initiatives at institutions all around the U.S.

Two of the more exciting matches will pit state qualifiers Steven Martinez against Jordan Girard and state qualifiers Daniel Butler against Juston Smith.

This outdoor event will take place tomorrow night (August 14) at 7:00 pm on the Leavenworth High School football field. Admission is $5 with concessions and sumo matches the crowd can join in on! So if you've got time on a Thursday night, stop on by! We have a flyer posted at www.lhspioneerwrestling.com

As you may have observed on social media, Pin Cancer is a growing organization that encourages the sport of wrestling to work together in helping find a cure for the disease. The goal is that the two communities and young students can plan a family friendly event and bring people together to raise funds to fight a disease that has impacted so many around us. More information can be found on their website at www.pincancer.org.
