Yesterday at the Centennial league tornament the man everyone calls Gonzo was recognized for 40 years of coaching. Since he spent the majority of the time coaching in the Centennial league it was recognized by coach Parks who took over Shawnee Heights after he left for Manhattan. You could hear that chants of GONZO throughout the gym and it was well deserved for everything he does for the sport of wrestling. I am proud to know the man and the coach everyone calls Gonzo.

That's awesome, 40 years is incredible, congrats Coach!

I had the chance to visit with two other coaches yesterday in the "40-year" club at Rose Hill tourney.....Mulvane's Rich Langerot & Concordia's Doug Moore. I am guessing maybe Bob Laster at Junction City also maybe getting close or already there.

Very impressive to dedicate so many years to coaching in this great sport.
