Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/19/04 06:55 PM

David Anderson will win at 5A this year. I have no doubt about that.
Posted By: one_on_one

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/19/04 07:20 PM

are you sure about dave anderson winning state? i know that he is a returning state champ but on thursday night when campus dueled ark city, he lost 6-4 to nick mcgrew, who is in 5a, and on saturday night he wrestled dave loos from carroll in the finals at the bc invite- lost 6-5, who is also in 5a... all three wrestlers are at the same regional...
Posted By: one_on_one

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/19/04 07:42 PM

sorry i also failed to mention, that dispite the fact that dave anderson beat him in the finals last year, bailes from kc turner is also a tough opponent for anderson... 152 5a is going to be a very tough bracket at state!

That's because the ref called stale mate with in 10 sec. of Dave sprawling on McGrew on 3 different ocasions. either time could have tied up the match.

Besides most people didn't think Anderson would walk away champ last year. Most didn't even consider it. Dave may not be a dominating wrestler like some champs are but his mental toughness and mindset can be matched by few I've met(if any).

I think that people should look for Nathan Miller of Seaman this year he is looking real tough and smooth this year.

I will give nathan miller credit i lost to him 5-3 in the Highland park finals he is a very sound wrestler and jump ropes a lot. hahaha i'd be so tired if i did that.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/21/04 12:44 PM

Chad Carter in 4a could be a contender.

go ahead and make fun of seaman all you want but you will stop after you lose to one of them, ask fris.
Posted By: fris kitzgerald

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/25/04 05:02 AM

i'm never gonna stop making fun of seaman i mean i know i'm immature at times but with a name like that. and i don't know what all the big fuss is 5-3 last time i checked wasn't an *** kicking but w/e dude...and yes chad carter from el dorado is a very good quality wrestler
Posted By: fris kitzgerald

i think it was gibby in a previous statement saying after my manhandling loss to miller i shouldn't have any room to speak. i believe were the words. could be mistaken i seem to not be able to find the thread
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/26/04 10:07 PM

The 152lbs. Wrestler from WaKeeney mentioned above is Ricky Hilgers if i remember right, he's a guy that has some mental toughness (or stupididity) depending on which way you look at it, i'm not from there but after the stories i've heard of him, he and his father are dedicated to athletics.......long story, michael malay could tell you all
Posted By: JordonB_184

Re: 152 wrestlers - 12/27/04 12:02 AM

Gibby has nothing to deal with it.

4-A 152's: Kyle Allen (Clay Center), Nick Zahm (columbous), Neil Erisman (DaSoto), Chad Schmale (SFT), Ben Smith (Chapman), Fort Scott's kid. There are a few more but those are a couple that I'm sure will qualify.

Spencer Burns for 3-2-1A is **** good. He beat me in OT this weekend.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/19/05 11:50 AM

I was just goofing fris. You'll have your chance to redeem yourself at league.

Miller's doing well right now and I hope it carries over to state. It would be nice to see one of the North Topeka Criminals with a medal around his neck.

I know you were just kidding. and i hope he gets one of those little round medal thingys too. well best of luck.

ok colton lets not try top act like the big one here. and also if you were trying to not let anyone know who you were, u might want to take your e-mail off of your name too just to let you knwo lol. and also if u didnt know but you were talking to lucas (lilstud). but yet therefore to lucas you dont need to say negatives things about you rown teamates even tho its kinda true since its his first year but comeon give stabb some slack.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/24/05 09:13 PM

Todd Kendrick of Scott City is lookin pretty good this year
Posted By: Computerized Shoes

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/24/05 09:38 PM

Not to talk any S*** but Todd Kendrick is defineatly not looking any good based on two reasons.
1) I pinned him and I suck
2) He got pinned once again by Ulysses for third and fourth on the same day which probably put him with a record of like 6-5 or so.

You need to think before boasting about your own team.

Scott City is an excellent team no doubt just struggling in certain weights as all teams do.
Posted By: former carroll 152#

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/25/05 05:13 AM

Dave Anderson, David Loos, Matt Bailes, Nick McGrew all can beat each other on any given day.

But my bet is on Loos, maybe i'm just a little bias.
Posted By: Computerized Shoes

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/25/05 05:17 PM

I agree with former carroll 152# because I have wrestled everyone of them in the past year, but I would have to take Anderson cuz he is an animal.
Posted By: Jumbo_Sport

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/25/05 05:26 PM

I think that former carroll 152# should be the first to admit that you never count out a Campus 152lb wrestler, even if you had beaten them earlier in the year. Especially when it comes time for the title match.

All in fun, Jake!!!

All are great wrestlers and it should make for a very interesting regional as 3 of those 4 will be at the same regional, which means 2 of the 4 will be on the same side of the bracket at state (barring any whacky upsets or injuries).

Has anybody wrestled the kid from trego yet
Posted By: Computerized Shoes

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/27/05 04:57 PM

I havent personally wrestled him but....he was at Hays and he got beat out of my bracket at Hays in the first or second round on the backside. He's not bad their were just quite a few quality wrestlers at the tournament

Re: 152 wrestlers - 01/27/05 07:44 PM

I put my money on the Erisman Kid, but he is still a punk!!!!!!!!!!!!
Erisman = an animal
Erisman = a machine
Erisman = training to become the baddest man alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach Peterman

PS. He's almost there too boys.

I wrestled the kid from trego and beat him 6-2. hes pretty strong and not too bad.

Spencer Burns is very, very, good, I think he'll be at Garden City we will see how he does against the Ponderosa young man.

Cimarron does not go to the Garden City tournament.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/21/05 04:16 PM

As Coach P stated, Erisman will be a two-time state champion at 152 4A. Everybody else is fighting for 2nd.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/21/05 09:54 PM

Neil has to win his first title before he can win two. He has yet to win one, which I still haven't figured out, but my money is on him this year.
Posted By: fris kitzgerald

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/21/05 10:17 PM

congrats to all the 152lbrs this year.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/23/05 11:18 PM

I'm with Coach Peterman.....Erisman rules! He is an amazing wrestler. By the way Peterman, guess you don't have time for your old Sumner friends anymore! Hope all is going well with your group!
Posted By: Computerized Shoes

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/24/05 01:48 AM

The way I look at it, Sure Neil is good and chances are....he'll kick the living S*** out of me....but, I will never fight for second Renegade Kid. Any real wrestler would never give up on a match just because someone is 99-3, a national champion, "an animal," because ya never know....upsets are oh so sweeeet!

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/28/05 02:32 AM

How did the match between Zahm and Erisman play out? I still have trouble believing that it happened. Definite props to Nick for pulling this match off.
Posted By: Computerized Shoes

Re: 152 wrestlers - 02/28/05 05:58 PM

Well, LancerM....being in the same bracket as the two I have the full summary. Neil Erisman, being a machine and all, pins everyone in the 1st or 2nd period in most cases. Now pinning people in the 1st of 2nd period doesn't help your shape out much because you don't get that extra *** kicking in the 3rd or OT. Nick knew that if he kept the match close that he could persevere in the 3rd and he did exactly that.

NICK,
Congrats on your state title.

i agree with gossett
erisman gassed at the end of the second, i dont know, maybe he thought he had the match won and stopped wrestling, he was winning like 6-2
anyway, much props to zahm for winning, he deserves it
Posted By: kck_kat

Re: 152 wrestlers - 03/04/05 01:23 AM

First of all, Congrats to Nick Zahm. I would have put my money on Erisman anytime. At the end of the match, it seemed as if he looked at the clock and went "s@#*, I can't believe this is happening again!" and just laid down. It was the oddest thing to watch! Nick, on the other hand, promised someone he wrestled in a previous match that he was going to be on the top of the podium and I'll be darned if he wasn't. Whatever ghosts Neil is fighting in his head, he was undefeated coming in and is an amazing wrestler. I was a little disconcerted at the look on his dad's face when it was over. Neil is a great wrestler...an amazing wrestler, and you should be very proud of him. As for Nick, again, CONGRATS!

i didnt see anyone saying that he wouldnt win it, just that he wasnt a sure bet. and if you saw the 152lb state tournament how could you argue that. he beat loos by 1 and bailes in overtime. and if you want to talk controversial calls there was one in the bailes match that could have dropped anderson to 3rd....just saying though, it was a great bracket.

Hahaha in an evil laugh would be displayed in the following context:
1) Buahahaha (evil witch type, mainly Wizard of Oz)
2) Muahahaha (evil villian type, the Joker off of Batma)
3) Heeehehee (old guy with asthma)
4) Duhhahumdeeha (average laugh of any wrestler, take Birdman07 or Fris Kris)

P.S. Fris, we should have an Avatar Smackdown, RAW = WAR.

Re: 152 wrestlers - 03/21/05 05:56 AM

Whoa, I just got the 152 wrestlers topic to the SECOND PAGE. We're goin down in history with the Steves almost. Keep up the good postin' all you former 152 pounders, current 152 pounders and 152 pound wannabe's. It's a tough role to fill and not everyone can do it. Jeez I'd have the notion to say that 1 in every 14 wrestlers makes it at the 152 pound division. The statistics don't lie so read them carefully.

How many 152 lbers have we had in our Tag Team matches ehh?

1) Andrew Gossett
2) Dave Anderson
3) Cole Kreuzter (I think)

Sounds like 152 is pretty dominating in the Tag Team setup.
