USAWKS WICHITA AREA RTC

USAWKS will be hosting another mini training camp that will serve as preparation to qualify for your perspective age group dual teams and Fargo. This Regional Training Center will be hosted at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School MAY 24th, and 25th.

We will start check in at 6:00 P.M. Friday night, and our first session will begin 7:00 P.M. Clint Slyter of Olathe North will be kicking off this Training Center with a Greco Throws and Greco scores from feet.

We will have 3 session on Saturday and if things are running well and there is interest we will host a 4th session for 1 on 1 work, and mental focus. I will have more on what those session will entail later in the week

The schedule is tenative, but right now the schedule will run as:

Session 2: 8:30 A.M. Freestyle

Session 3: 12:00 P.M. Greco

Session 4: 3:00 P.M. Freestyle

Session 5: If wanted or need will be 15-20 minutes after Session 4.

This is a great opportunity to get some great work in, and train with the area and states best. THIS IS ALSO PART OF THE FARGO INCENTIVE PROGRAM.

Current and Former National team Coaches will be on hand to run session and help with technique

Ken Kepley- Pratt C.C.Head Coach and Kansas National Team Coach.
Jake Klein- KMC Head Coach and Husker All- American.
Zac Poague- KMC Assistant Coach and Kansas National Team Coach.
Doug Hoover- Goddard Assistant Coach, and 4-time Kansas State Champion.
Brett Fiene- Andover Head Coach and Former Kansas National Team Coach

Any other coach that is in the area or coming down is welcome to come in the room and help out. The more the merrier.

YOU MUST HAVE A USA WRESTLING CARD TO ATTEND THIS!!!!! THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS CAMP.

Zac, my son will be there on Saturday only we can't make it Friday evening

Please enter on the North West side of Kapaun by the Softball Fields. There will be a stairwell as you come in that will take you up to the wrestling room.

We are pushing registration back to 6:30 tonight because of the weather. Also with the warning and severe weather in the area if you are worried about safety and choose to wait til Saturday to send your wrestler I understand. Would hate to see someone get hurt trying to get here.

Each session is an hour and a half long. So there will be a break in between.
