5th Annual Central Missouri Summer Duals

Hey guys just wanted to get the information out about the 5th annual CMSD. We are changing venues to a more centrally located area as well as a larger space which will allow for more surfaces. We are going to take 24 teams this year, in the past we have been at 16 teams and it has filled up quickly so that is one reason we wanted to expand. This has been a great event the past 4 years our hope is to continue to grow and become better each year. Competition level has been great and we do our best to pool teams with in the talent level for the best possible matches. We have teams from Kansas, Illinois, and Texas that attend and hopefully we can expand that this year. Reminder your team can be a club team, high school team, or a team compiled of kids from different schools. If you are interested don't hesitate to call, email or reply to this post. Folkstyle Wrestling Dual Tournament

Where: Central Methodist University When: Saturday, July 11th
Fayette, MO

Eligibility /Division - Must be at least an incoming Freshman, High School 9th - 12th Grade
( Outgoing Seniors are Eligible ) ( Insurance will be Provided Although each participant will need to sign a waiver)

Weights - 115, 125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 165, 182, 197, 285 ( Alternates Allowed ) ( 5lb allowance )

Registration - Tournament Fee $325 ( Insurance included ) All teams must mail entry fee to secure entry to the tournament, only the first 24 teams will be accepted, Roster should include participants and Coaches. Club teams are welcome.

Weigh-Ins - 7:00 am Saturday or 5:00pm-6:00pm Friday , there will be a 5lb weight allowance
(The Weights above + 5 lbs i.e. 115=120)

Location - Central Methodist University (Puckett Field House), 411 Central Methodist Square, Fayette, MO 65248

Date & Time - Saturday July 11th, 8:00am - 6:00pm, or until wrestling is completed, Building will be open at 6:30am

Format - It will be a dual tournament format. There will be a Gold & Silver Pool. In those 2 pools there will be a round robin format. Our goal is to get 6-8 duals for each team. We are in a larger venue this year so we will be able to have 8 surfaces down.

Match Length - 1:30 - 1:30 - 1:30, HS OT rules will apply

Hotel Info - Closest hotels will be in Columbia, MO (Aprox 30 mins) and/or Boonville, MO (Aprox 20 mins)

Trainer will be available

Concessions will be available

Team Awards - The top team in each pool (Gold/Silver) will take home T-Shirts, Champion will be determined by record, head to head, total team points, most matches won, most falls, then most takedowns.

We are about 2 months out from the tournament date...just updating you on the tournament...we have 12 teams registered already which means the tournament is halfway full already...this is shaping up to be another great tournament...remember I do not need your roster/line up until the the week/day of the tournament...your entry fee is the only thing I need to hold/confirm your spot in the tournament...the new venue is going to pose a great atmosphere for the kids and it will allow for us to have 8 surfaces down at once...below is the address for sending entry fees...if you want in get a hold of me...if you have questions don't hesitate to ask...!
