Congratulations to Lawrence Free State High School senior Sara Hilliard who has earned a women's wrestling scholarship with Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. Sara has wrestled throughout her high school career for the Lawrence Free State Firebirds junior varsity squad. The 158 pounder is also a power lifter and competed as a member of the soccer team. After her high school wrestling season, Sara competes as a member of the Kansas Krusaders.

Coach Carl Murphree of Missouri Valley College has already had success with Kansas girl wrestlers. Two-time All American Brooke Bogren from Carbondale and current freshman Nicole Husted of Olathe have spots on the Missouri Valley Vikings roster.
