I was on Rose Hill's website, and it said that Haynes beat Bowen 5-1. I've never even heard of this Haynes kid. Who is he and how did this happen?

Bowen wrestled up a weight classification.

I saw that kid's record was 15-12 last year, how did Bowen lose to him? 5lbs shouldn't make that much of a difference.

The match was 3-1, with Haynes scoring a late takedown off of a failed shot attempt by Bowen with just a few seconds to go. Bowen is a top notch kid and I wouldn't make any bets on which way it would go if they met again.

How in the heck did Bowen lose to that kid? I bet Haynes doesn’t even qualify to state at 130, but at least he can say he beat a state runner-up.

It's not like Bowen lost to a fish. Haynes is a very strong kid and a good wrestler. Upsets happen. Hats off to Haynes for the win and to Bowen for moving up a weight to take on a tough wrestler.

Bowen had a pulled muscle in his back and a deep bruise knee.He was asked if he wanted to wrestle or not and decided to wrestle.Even with a 5lbs. difference I could bet u Bowen would like to go at that one again.
