Sundays at Topeka Seaman, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, Fees would be $60/month. Each Sunday session features one of 3 instructors: Eric Akin, Dusty Spaulding (4x KS HS state champ, Jr. national champ, former Univ. of Nebraska team member), Travis Phippen (2x NCAA all-American at San Fran State University, former submission fighting style world champion).

Feb. 3, 12:00 – 2:00pm (Superbowl Weekend)
10, 5:30* – 7:30pm
17, 5:30* – 7:30pm
24, 5:30* – 7:30pm

Mar. 2, 5:30* – 7:30pm
9, 5:30* – 7:30pm
16, 5:30* – 7:30pm
23, 5:30* – 7:30pm
* Guest clinician will run the room from 6:00-7:30; room will be open at 5:30 to warm up and stretch.

It is highly recommended that you show up on time so that no one is still “lacing up their shoes” when the clinic starts. Enter the wrestling room from the North parking lot through the marked doorway.

Our first practice session is scheduled for this Sunday. We have chosen to start at Noon to avoid conflicts with any Superbowl parties. Eric, Dusty, and Travis will be splitting time between the Topeka location and Cokeley's Barn in Eudora. A schedule of the guest clinicians and contracts will be handed out at the first practice.

This practice is by invite only; which will allow us to better serve you by managing the number of kids in the room with our available mat space. We currently have 35-40 commitments. If you are interested and have not been sent an invitation, please email me your name, age, weight, USAWA card number, and club affiliation. Eric and I will mix the new applicants in on a space available basis. Thank you.

Does this mean that Sunday's at Cokeley's will be no more, or will they be earlier in the day?

Mav,

Eric will still be at Cokeley's. Their practice times will remain the same.

Eric shared time at Cokeley's with Travis and Dusty; and he still will. Now the three (Akin, Phippin, and Spaulding) will rotate between Cokeley's and Topeka Seaman .

We are very fortunate in NE KS to have these three mat warriors to share their experiences with our youth. I hope this clears up your question.

Mark

Yes, that answered my question. Thanks for the response! Good Luck to all. Eric and Travis are great with the kids.

The Sunday-February 24th session will feature Travis Phippen. Clinic times will be the same time as advertised for this week. We will talk again on Sunday about splitting up into two sessions for the March dates. Please help me spread the word.

Actually Dusty Spaulding will be the clinician on the 24th of February. I will be their the first week of March and the Sunday just prior to state. I have heard how hard of workers the group is and look forward to working with them. Keep training it only makes you better.

As relayed at last weeks practice, the Sunday-March 9th and March 16th sessions will feature Eric Akin. WE WILL BE RUNNING A SPLIT SESSION. Clinic times will be 4:00-5:30 for all wrestlers in the 10 year old division or below. And 6:00-7:30 for 12 and up. The room will be opened 1/2 hour early with group warm up 15 minutes prior to the listed start times. By splitting this session we will have room for a few more interested participants. This is a unique opportunity for any motivated wrestlers in the Topeka area to gain some additional mat time and benefit from Eric's knowledge base prior to the qualifying tourneys. Call me if you are interested and I can tell you if space and/or practice partners are available.
