not really a wrestling movie but facing the giants is a christian movie about football and believing in jesus to do your best. terrible acting but very good plot. for those who do not believe in that kinda thing then probably not the movie for you. my kids and their cousins have watched it at least 3 times this weekend. so it must be good to them.

"very old movie" I am not that old but man you make me feel like it with that quote.

One More Shot was not a good movie at all. Poor at best. Bad acting. They tried to promote it at our state tournament. They only showed it in Stillwater. Dan Hodge made a cameo appearence with some footage of John Smith (the best part of the movie). We left half way through the movie only to walk by the guy promoting the movie...felt bad about it, but it was not worth staying.

Now Vision Quest....that is the best wrestling movie of all time. It actually portrays what a wrestler goes through...the weight cutting "elevating your exorcise increases the frequency of noctournal emissions"...running down an opponent "Did you hear that Lauden is going to wrestle Shoot"...crazy team mates "cause I ain't no f'n Indian"...and who can forget the woman. "I love you Carla!!!"

Oh, most definately, hands down, Vision Quest. My two kids love that movie. They watch it at least 1-4 times a week. It pumps up my wrestler every time.

Vision Quest is a great movie. My 8 year old loves it. Yes, it has some not so appropriate scenes in it but the jist of the whole movie is about putting your mind to do something and following thru with it.

Reversal is not a movie I would recommend. If I recall (they showed it twice in Wichita) it is about a dad living vicariously thru his son. And is also about quitting.

There are some scenes in Facing the Giants that are VERY motivational!
At practice I plan to show the one where the coach makes Brock do the "Death Crawl". It is about 5 min and it shows how self negativity can effect someone and the rest of the team. It shows what someone can achieve when they have HEART. It also shows how people will take notice and respect the efforts someone when they are truely giving everything they got and how effort like that can inspire others!!
This move has bad acting but SO MANY GREAT MESSAGES!!
You can also find these clips online.
I know youtube.com has them. Search "Facing the Giants"! There are a few clips on there where people are spoofing the movie look through a few and you will find what you are looking for and can show the clips for free instead of buying the movie!!

Oh by the way, not only is vision quest a great movie but the sound track is cool to!
My son loops the song Lunitic Fringe in his ipod when he's working out! Its a very old song to find in a store but down load it and its great!
Also the sound track to A Knights Tale is pretty good too! Queen, BTO, War a lot of good older songs! We are the champions, taking care of business, low rider!!
Its a cheap CD that you can still find at Wal Mart!

sorry coach Craig if I'm making you feel old but i just said it was really old because i got it when i started wrestling in 1997 so i see that as a long time ago haha. And I know the acting in One More Shot isnt very good but I think its a pretty inspirational movie, just my opinion.
