I am posting this in hopes of getting an idea of who all intends to come tour tourney this Saturday in Wichita. Coach Ed called a large amount of teams tonight and only got a handful of participants. Our own team in quite down in numbers since the state tourney is now over. We are wondering if it is worth putting on this tourney and using people's time and money for a not so ideal turnout. So I am asking that anyone that is planning to attend to post up how many they will have, so we can get an unofficial count.

I will offer this up, we will do satellite weigh ins and Kyle Roberts of Great Bend has already offered his site for one. I have a spread sheet that anyone can use to run the weigh ins. I do ask that you get their card number and payment at the time of weigh in and then send the entries by email to me at whywrestling@yahoo.com. If you have weighed in and paid at the satellite then you do not have to show up until 9am for the clinic. We will also offer for the Wichita crew a weigh in at Bishop Carroll from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Friday night.

Now so far we have less than 25 people that say they are coming and we are waiting on a few call backs. We need at least 100 entries to make this worthwhile so please let us know if you plan to come or else we will consider canceling the tourney.

Coach Ed and I have checked with numerous teams and with the small amount of response from above, we feel that we must cancel the tournament. At this time we have only 20 wrestlers committed and with gas prices as they are it is foolish for people to drive to a tournament where there are almost no match-ups or good competition
