Not trying to make a case for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, etc. "TOUGHEST TOURNAMENT;" am leaving such evaluations and designations to the experts. Just want to invite any and all to attend the Norton Community High School JR DURHAM INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT on Jan. 10.
It is "just" a single day tournament; we do anticipate having some good competition even though it is "only" a small school tournament:
Norton: #1 ranked in 321A Smith Center: #2 ranked in 321A Scott City: #3 ranked in 4A Beloit: #4 ranked in 321A. Mill Valley: #9 ranked in 5A.
As an added bonus Mill Valley and Norton will also dual on Friday evening, Jan. 9, at 6:00 p.m.
The JR Durham Invite will begin at 9:30 a.m. If you are in the area, drop by and enjoy some good wrestling.

Egg - Looks like Norton is set for another great tournament. Mill Valley is currently ranked 9th in 5a and should provide some great matches. It will be interesting to see the results of the dual between Norton and Mill Valley.

Egg: Looks like a good tourny to me, in which Norton will do well. Great scheduling Mill Valley the night b4, not only a good dual, but an extra pound for the wrestlers!! (Would just like to add; promote the tourny w/o the "EGGing" on and sarcasm "quotes") There's already topics on that discussion w/o you "innocently" starting it on another thread unecessarily. Good luck to B. Brockelman, Keiswetters, Bainter, and Perez. All good wrestlers, wrestling supporters and parents.

Tim,
We are expecting a good tournament.
In regards to your suggestion, I am still of the opinion that good competition can be found close to home even in a Western Kansas small school setting
Have been hearing good things about your son thus far this year; hope his season continues to progress.

Is Cozad, NE attending this year? They used to be one of the top teams in Nebraska. I know they were down a little last year.

ZeezDAD,
Yes they will be there. They were young last year and split their squad; sending their less expereinced varsity members to a different tournament; I think they only had six or seven at Norton. They have been tough as nails in years past.

There should be some excellent semi-final and final matches. Can't wait!
