I would like to say great job to pratt wrestling club for a great tournament!! This was one of the best ran tournaments i have been to. We were out of there by 2:00. The first row was reserved for coaches and wrestlers, and the new gym was awesome. GREAT JOB !!!!

I agree that it was a great tournament! Our bracket was wrapped up by noon and my son said it was the best tournament he has ever been to! The score and time clocks were sweet! It may have something to do with the Pokeman picture on his bracket, wherever that came from... Pelland?

Shhhhhh....Hopefully Brady can keep a secret, but I stole it from Dylan and Kaisers secret stash. It was their favorite peekacheeeewwww sticker.

Maybe next year we'll have some pokemon music.....if there is such a thing.

I sure wish that we could have come down to my old stomping ground to wrestle. When I saw this one on the calendar, I was real excited that I could bring my son to wrestle where his dad did in high school. His grandparents could have come to see him wrestle within a couple of miles of their home. Then I found out that that there would be no U14 brackets due to the fact that the western half the state was still wrestling Jr High (we finished our Jr High season in the middle of December). Our Jr High season was only seven weeks long, but it was sure a nice tune up for the Kid's season. I think the whole state should be wrestling Jr High at the same time of year (fall/winter).

By the way Greg, I think you need to have an avatar. I was kind of thinking Pikachu. "Pikachu is popularly known as the mascot of the Pokémon franchise."

One more thing Greg. If you do entertain having U14 next year, you might start sourcing a supply of Hannah Montana stickers for those brackets. I am not sure who the teenage girls follow these days, but I do know that Pikachu and friends have lost ground to Hannah for my teenage boys the last couple of years. My 13 year old wrestler also knows that having a girl friend during wrestling season is not allowed.

The tournament did wrap up very quickly but I do have a complaint, the numbers on the wall brackets didn't match the bout sheets and I found myself sitting and waiting three or four matches for a kid to wrestle cause it said he was up on 34 but instead he wrestled 38. Its difficult to coach 45 athletes when you are not sure when they are up. I do not know if this is because of track wrestling or what but it made it very difficult to know when our kids were suppose to wrestle.

I assume your talking about the 6U on mats 1&2. I forgot to enter one of our own kids, and had to redo those two mats. I did re-print new brackets and had them re-posted. I also had this announced over the PA system.....I think.

Greg and the Pratt wrestling club,

I know of 2 kids that are really glad they attended your tournament! Both of my sons, Cagen & Cauy, both wrestled well and brought home their brackets!

Job well done!

Both Wallace boys were impressive! Tell them congrats from Brady and I. Also, the parent of the wrestler from GB Cauy wrestled for 1st was telling me how classy Cauy was after the match. Appearantly, Cauy went to talk to Braxton after the match and offered compliments and encouragement. I know it was appreciated.

Mike,

Thanks for the compliments! This is the first I have heard of Cauy doing this and I will be sure to praise him for that. Thanks for letting me know. Tell Brady "Congratulations" from the Wallace family also. Brady is a great kid!

Chad

Yes I was referring to mats one and two. When the tournament gets underway it is difficult for coaches to go up and correct all of the changes you guys have made. That is one flaw of doing it on the computer. If you add one wrestler it throws off every match number on my sheet instead of just one kids numbers.

Greg,

Glad you went with the worn out wrestling shoes over Pikachu. When I see those shoes (taped together), I see many hours of hard work, sweat and repetition, combined with dedication, desire, and discipline. Excellent choice for your avatar.

Greg,

I would like to give you props for sticking your neck on the line and taking on trackwrestling. Most tournaments that struggle with all the many options you have when configuring your tournament run late and have huge delays. Even when adversity hit you were rolling with the punches and had us out in good time.

One under the belt, the next will be a breeze. Next thing you know others in our own state will be coming to you for advice and input.

GREAT JOB PRATT WRESTLING CLUB!!!!

Clear areas matside, great table workers, and the officials were'nt bad either! lol

I was pleased with the remote weigh-in procedure. I thought that was an excellent way to handle things. I was not aware if there had been any challenges or not. Overall, I think it made the day go a lot faster. Thanks Pratt we will be back. Hossus
