Who all going to Hays 8U at 64# and 67#? Any predictions at these weights. Been extremely competitive all year at both, expecially out west and northcentral.

Haven't been to Hays before. Any idea how late it goes. Trying to get to a Jr. High Tournament hour away too. Talked to an official. Said they will have at least 14 mats going at once so wouldn't think it would go much past mid-afternoon.

Great Wrestling in 67# brackets. Both brackets pretty evenly split up. Wyatt Hayes was pretty dominate. Reynolds second in that bracket with Lenker 3rd and Rall 4th. Other bracket was Soffell from Wichita 1st, Wells from Derby 2nd, Kade Miller 3rd and Sean Urban 4th.
Major disappointment was seeing a parent, obvious to everyone, coach a wrestler into faking a back injury to avoid being pinned. This happened two matches in a row and attempted a third time in the Championship. The wrestler was able to get the match stopped and off his back (once was a sure pin)by screaming and holding his back and return to starting on bottom and hold on for a 1 point win. Not to blan the official by any means but points were not awarded accordingly for either(believe it should be 2-3 for the back and 1 for the "tap out".) Very sad to see. Not mentioning names but you and everyone with interest in this weight today know who you are. I personally told my son that I would rather he lose every match he ever wrestles than to fake an injury to avoid defeat. Seriously, show me a positive in that........for anyone. If your gonna wrestle, be tough enough to accept defeat.
