Would like to see what's the most favored when looking at a tournament to enter as far as "bringing it home".
Nice custom brackets (completed); hoodie; t-shirt; belt (yeah Maize); rings (USJOC) -- as to what could make 1st place extra special.
For the other entrants trophies or medals or plaques? Do you especially look at what a tournament is awarding?
custom complete bracket (19%, 23 Votes)
|
trophy (12%, 14 Votes)
|
medal (15%, 18 Votes)
|
plaque (7%, 8 Votes)
|
t-shirt (14%, 16 Votes)
|
hoodie (10%, 12 Votes)
|
belt (14%, 17 Votes)
|
ring (8%, 10 Votes)

In it to win it.

it depends on the caliber of tourny that is involved. If it is just another regular club tourny then unless you have great number of entry's it will not be cost effective. But if you plan on making it a top notch caliber tourny and long term goal is highnumbers then you can look at different award options. JMO. it will be interesting to see what people will like. good poll topic

I have to agree with Schroeder. Unless it is a big, high caliber tournament, I think medals are fine. Too many people these days, want to have a great big Award, but dont want to have to earn it. If you want an award with some "BLING" go to a tough tournament.

Avoid trophies at all cost. Children refuse to dust them.

Why is there not an option on the poll fo rnone of the above?? We don't look at what a tourney is awarding before we enter. We go to wrestle!

I have to agree toughest tourney biggest prize. But so time the award can make the tournament as we found out last year in MAIZE. Put a big ole belt up for grabs and kids get a whole lot scrappier
Jon Trowbridge Ive never had the fear of getting beat thats how most people lose.

I bet you don't find Belts or Rings in the bottom of the gear bag or the trunk of the car or in the sofa like I do every week with medals. My boys would love the bling!

FYI Maize will be doing the belts again. We have had even more out of state interest this year than we did last year. We are expecting around 1000 plus entries. Should be a tough tournament again.

A bracket and a medal around my neck is all I needed. To me trophies are for teams and medal for for participants. To me winning is enough of an accomplishment.
