Pretty interesting result's in the semi's? Way to go, but State is a whole different animal, and Mason's 5-0 at State tourney's, but like they say anything can happen. Win or Lose it is gonna be good. We are definatly looking forward to seeing some kid's at State. Good Luck to all.

A great bracket as predicted! Biggest disappointment was injury to Gowin in semis, took away from the complete picture of the bracket as to how it might have played out. Great wrestling by all congrat's Tate.

First of all, Congrats to All! What a great bunch of boys and wrestlers!

Congrats to Tate Steele, 10U 64 State Champion!

I also want to thank everyone for their care and concern for Dylan this weekend. Dylan dislocated his elbow in his match against Steele in the semi-finals. It was an extreme disappointment for him to get injured this weekend and our family appreciates all the kind words and help we had. There are definitely too many names to mention that came over Saturday to help and also over Sunday to ask how he was doing. The "wrestling family" is an amazing family that you "grow up" with over the years!! I am very proud of Dylan for making the choice to come back Sunday to shake his opponents hand as they proceeded to battle it out at the championship!

Again, THANK YOU FRIENDS AND WRESTLING FAMILY!

What an all around GREAT weekend of wrestling!! Congrats to all the state placer and those who qualified to be at the BIG show! In most of the age/weight classes it's an amazing accomplishment to qualify for state let alone place! I seen some awesome competition this weekend and some pretty darn good sportsmanship. Makes me proud to be a wrestling family in Kansas!!
I was watching the match between Gowin and Steele when the injury took place. I was so disappointed for Gowin. My son has wrestled with Cody Phippen and Derek Bollinger and TJ Miller from East Kansas so we are familiar with the team. Seem like a pretty good bunch of boys!! I was so glad to see Gowin Sunday at the finals - looked like he was doing alright. : )
Congrats to the state placers in the 10&U 61lb bracket - that one was pretty beastly itself!!

Cindy Priddy - Jordan's mom : )

I definitely agree with Big Red Fan. We were so sorry to see the match between Dylan and Tate end with an injury. I hope Dylan heals quickly. He is a great wrestler and Tate felt terrible! We knew that match could easily have gone either way. Both boys have beaten one another this season. I want to thank all the families and wrestlers from this 10&U 64 bracket for all your congratulations and support of Tate. Tate is thrilled to have gotten first. I must say, however, that having a great big target painted on your chest is a bit much for any 10 year old, and for that reason, the kind words and support from everyone were really appreciated! It is flattering that Mason thought Tate was the "one to beat", but I know Tate felt a lot of pressure as a result. There are so many good wrestlers in this bracket and the pressure was already pretty great. Anyway, CONGRATS to everyone from this group!

Andrea Steele

i agree alot pressure for these kids just on the wrestling aspect. Look at the match scores close close close. This bracket could wrestle 5 times and would have 5 different placings each time. congrats to the all the kids to make it and to the placers.

That was a incredible tournament.. Great job. Steele... That bracket was incredible. I can honestly say some went farther then I would of thought and some that I know well fell short. Those crazy district placings put a whole new spin on how things played out. It is a coin toss with these boys on any given day...All those over times and losing by a point at the end of a match was exciting. It would be great if Steele Ward Stuart Schroder Rairden and Gowin could spread out a few pounds and represent Kansas at one of those big team tournaments. They would be a team to be reconed with. Those boys are a POWER HOUSE... I bet money they would of taken home several first place state trophys if they had been split up. I can not wait till next year most are going up to 12yrs It's gonna be exciting.. I have no doubt who we will see at State next year!!!!!
WELL DONE JOB BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you guys are beasts
